Mesh heads and/or Remo Muff'l Rings

I'm looking to get either mesh heads or Remo Muff'l Rings. Anyone know a good brand of mesh heads that's cheap, but still kind of good. How about where to get Muff'l Rings for my whole set?

Thanks,
Justin

what do you want to do? those are 2 products for 2 different applications. one muffles the overtones of your drums (remo rings) and one makes them 'silent' (mesh heads)

regarding where to get muff'l rings for your whole set....did you try and internet search? I just did and came up tons of results...among the first 4 hits that I got:

http://www.midwestpercussion.com/access/dead.html
http://www.brookmays.com/department.asp?prodcode=n2aa
http://www.ajpropercussion.com/ECscripts/ECware.exe/dcp?id=011&sku=MF-1008-00&type=A1QH1&lc=EN

I did an internet search, but I was looking for the cheapest place that has all the rings for my set. Musicians Friend didn't have them all, I found a couple of places that were missing the bass drum. I found one place that was cheap, but the first link you gave is $1-2 cheaper per ring. I'll probably get my rings from them.

I don't know who makes mesh heads. I know of TriggerHeads and Kontrol Screens, but I don't know who makes those. When I search for mesh heads, I find Roland and other electric sets with mesh heads on them. I think the Kontrol Screens are the cheapest, so I'll probably go with them, as soon as I find a place to get them from.

Wow. That 5 pack is pretty cheap. I think that's the sizes I need, too. Thanks, bud.

I have two sets, but at the time, I can only afford to muffle one, or make the really crappy one silent for night practicing. I plan on eventually getting both, but when I have more money. I can get one now, but it's cheap enough that I can might get both with the next pay check.

You can find mesh head info here:

www.drumbalaya.com

The Pearl mesh heads are very quiet and the cheapest. Regular drum heads with the Remo Sound control will sound like loud practise pads.
There is also a product called 'Sound Off' which are foam pads that sit on top of your regular drum heads.
