Speakers/Power Amp

So why are your "words" any kind of "proof"...but my words are not...?

Post up the album your recorded...the links to your studio...the links to all the music you mixed...etc...etc.

C'mon, you're obviously some world famous guy hanging here incognito on this home recording site...and all that nonsense about stereo HiFi speakers was just your way of testing us...right?

bullshit.jpg

Wait...let me guess...you make "beats"...right?

No I got it...you posted this same nonsense over on Gearslutz and they laughed...right?

Again you don't read or twist my words. I didn't talk about Gearslutz, but gearslut's which is a naming.

Are you bipolar or whatever?

So why are your "words" any kind of "proof"...but my words are not...?

Not to you. Untill you're proven different you're to less to me why i should prove me.
If i have to prove myself then only discreet to the site owner.
But believe me if i say my words are for real. ;)

Something i really doubt about your 'nice' but empty story on your website.
Not even an addres or phone number for artists to call. Thát's professional! Duh! :eatpopcorn:

@42low,
You keep proving my point.

Newcomers coming here and aurguing.

As a member of this forum, I'm not questioning your ability, or lack of. I'm not questioning your experience, or lack of. Nor am I professing any superiority over you, or anyone else, for being new.

There are quite a few quite knowledgeable people that are new to this place. No one equates new with idiot.

I am however questioning your intense aurgumentive nature, and advising to cool down and chill a bit.

Ar the rate it's going it's just a matter of time before you start telling people to go fuck themselves.
Then you'll get banned, and we'll chuckle over the train wreck.

Man........seems like the guy logged on with the sole intent to confirm his beliefs and nothing more. Then when there might be a few different opinions or ideas or thoughts.....he felt challenged for some reason. I do notice that some newbies to this group are like that........and never heard from again. Of all the groups he could have ever come across for fair and excellent give and take and advice.........ours is one of the best anywhere.........and this particular discussion was no exception. (And now I have the feeling I'm going to get taken to task)

So I was right then...you got nothing to show.

Well...you found me, so I guess it's not that hard. ;)
We live in a world of electronic communication...my email is on ever page of my website...DUH! :)

If you need some mixing work done, let me know...but then, I don't do "beats"....I leave that to the "producas", like you.

So I was right then...you got nothing to show.

Believe that if you wish. Let you win tens of posts back. Your god!!
Known tactic. Can't burn one down on arguments and they will try it in a childish way with trivialities. And like alway's some friends come buy to kick with them.

Ever heard of Focus?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P0ly_bCQ2dY

Ever heard of Brainbox?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dJWLVYK9zk4

And that of me on a record is true too. I contributed on three numbers on a record. Believe it or not.
I don't even bother to prove it to you. Got nothing to prove to you. Even though it would be that simple to post a link.

Can show more than you. Who's the bullshit now. :laughings:

[now go edit ignorelist]

Hey man..........if you can prove you contributed on three tracks.......why don't you go ahead and do that?

WAIT ? You can't be the Cowbell guy ?

Just kiddin'. Let us get back to bashing the Events and Sampson

@garww. LOL. No. I sang on the album.

Hey man..........if you can prove you contributed on three tracks.......why don't you go ahead and do that?

Give me a reason why i should? It's real. Give me the trust and perhaps you will ever get the information.
The persons with negative intentions who ask now wil never be convinced and only will use it to kick further.
Did what one said. Learn the forum. Learned about some users quiet enough.

[now go edit ignorelist further. put 3 on it, so if i don't react to you anymore..... :eatpopcorn: ]

WOW!
I'm totally blown away!

So you post a couple YT links...and that's your proof of.....what exactly?

Are you now, or were you ever...a member of either of those bands...?
I doubt it.

So I couldn't care less what you "contributed" to those albums...because unless your name is in the liner notes, it doesn't mean anything.

Anyway...WTF does that have to do with stereo HiFi speakers VS studio reference monitors? :D
Why do you keep going off in some other directions talking about friends who know friends....blah, blah, blah...and how you played guitar once in some studio...blah, blah, blah.
That doesn't answer the original question I asked before you started with all this side shit....stay focused.

What do you base your "bet" on...like how many studio speakers have you actually mixed any music on?
That's what this thread is about...not YT videos of albums you claim to have played on.

Can we get back to the topic now?

Yes...that would be good...HiFi speakers VS studio reference monitors. :)

Focus? Are you yodel guy?

:D Yodel guy :laughings:
No, the guitarist. Has a recording studio not far from me. Very good friend of my uncle, and i've met him 'more than once'.

For real. Worldwide known.

... like he's showing his bad habbits again and again ....

:laughings:

And I thought he played some guitar tracks.

I always love it when hard-core recording pros show up on a home rec site...and start posting nonsense. :p

And now #3 on the ignore list too. Finished the job.

Well, someone associated with Focus might of visited after I mentioned Jan Ackerman recently. Apparently, they somehow managed without the 20/20 and I'm afraid to ask what horrible amps they might of used.

So are you saying you were actually in the band?
Were you the guitar player ? Yes or no
Were you the yodeler? Yes or no.

If neither, what actual role did you play in the band?

And to go back on topic, exactly what monitors were used in the studio when recording Hocus Pocus?

Stupid me. You're on the ignore but i couldn't resist.
And yet AGAIN can't read, didn't read, of just will not know to keep carry on bashing.

So for the last time.

So are you saying you were actually in the band?
Were you the guitar player ? Yes or no
Were you the yodeler? Yes or no.

Read back. Already explained how it is.
That call's itself professional. Can't even read comprehensive.

Ow. About the album. Looked it up. A side with songs up to 9, i'm in nr's 1, 2 and 3. So A side 1/2/3.

Want to post a lot off words more now, but i will censor myself and log off for my own protection. :eatpopcorn:

I'm reading that Jan Akkerman has a recording studio not far from 42low.

Always loved that Hocus Pocus solo - awesome - but then I'm a huge Golden Earring fan as well who wanted to be George Kooymans when I grew up. Still waiting... :laughings:

Oh yeah.... monitors.

The thing I've always found about monitors is that arguing about them doesn't change anyone's opinion, and if you're arguing about them, then it's because you like arguing. :thumbs up:

I started out on a pair of Wharfdale hi fi speakers I acquired from somewhere and ran them from a small hifi amp I similarly acquired. Then I bought "real" monitors because I thought I should. Behringer Truths... :laughings: Not sure that was a step forward, in hindsight.

WHY ON EARTH WOULD YOU CARE ! Pentagram was recording on a old Akai/Roberts. Maybe it wasn't so hot, but that ushered them into "HIGH" life. ahah

Fun that you mention GK from GE.
I don't know him myself, but friend of mine who lives in the same village as Cesar Zuiderwijk had a girlfriend which was taking lessons with him.

The world is so small.

Ya, I post a pic of Kooy-boy on the 2nd Live LP just recently, also. Who all miss Radio Nederland ? I only have the Akkerman Profile LP - that's all I need.
