S/PDIF as effects insert on my DAW?

is there a directx or vst plug in that uses my spdif I/O as an insert for my M300?

Yes. It is one of my favorite features in SX3.

A) Do it manually. Make a mixdown track by soloing the track and send it out to the S/PDIF port and record the return via your sequencer. Mix the returned track as needed.

B) Get the new CubaseSX3. It allows you to designate an outboard device as an effect.

I use (A); it's cheaper and only takes a little time.
