An LDC like that would go good on an alto or soprano. (You wouldn't mic Barry White and Michael Jackson with the same mic - same with saxes and their ranges...)

ido1957 9K Gold Member Jan 2, 2011 #4 Check my H S B link below - the vocalist used a NT2-A. The sound is clear and crisp with no proximity effect. EQ to taste. You should be able to handle the SPL with the sax - try it and see if you like it.

B Big Kenny New member Jan 4, 2011 #5 I use one on vocals a lot, especially backing vox. Haven't had occasion for using it on sax, I always use a dynamic for that.
