I installed a bunch of new plug ins. But there not appearing when i go to look through my effects. Is there a certain folder i need to put things? ? any help?

Izotope, Antares Kantos, Waves and more. I've installed other waves plug ins before and they still work. They just showed up next time i ran Pro Tools after i had installed them. Im lost.

PPC or INTEL

Did you install them or copy them to the folder?

If you copied them to the folder check to see if they are PowerPC or Intel?

It's not unheard of to have a bad install.

It is however unheard of to have multiple installs of multiple manufactures off of multiple install disks fail. The likelihood is at best astronomical.

Were these newly purchase pieces of software?? Are they all compatible with both your current version of PT and operating system?

Have you tried looking in your plug-in folder? Have you tried un-install from the original install disk?

Let's drop back and punt here.

Describe the exact process you followed installing the Antares Plug-in. Was it installed from an Antares install disk?

For the waves did you run it from disc or from an .exe? and what was the name of the file you ran to install it?

also what version of pro tools?

Are they vst or rtas. Mac or windows OS. Are you running a mac, you need to wrap vst plug-ins using a program. If this applies, let me know and I'll go deeper into it.

im having the same issue

the plug ins were free downloads by the way,,call off the hounds:D

Still in all. The information provided (at least up until this point) was sketchy, if that.

Cracked plug-ins not withstanding is extremely difficult to help with tech support situations with virtually no provided information.

What free downloads are we talking about? What is you application version? What computer and OS are you using? Describe, in some small detail, the phrase "I'm having the same issue"

Love to help but a guess at this point would be no more than irresponsible.

hi Joseph
ah well,,now
i was on a free plug ins mission that day,so there were a bunch of them
did i already mention how crap i am at all this?:o
im even none the wiser wether or not it should be vst/au,,etc that i download

There are a lot of VST plugins there.

Pro Tools doesn't support VST which would explain why they aren't working.
