NAME THOSE OLD NOW OBSCURE BANDS

I'm gonna WIN!!!

Now 17 pages later of scouring and although I saw the words...they were never used as a band name. So without further adeu...the band that is the most obscure...the band that no one remembered....the band that would probably be very upset is..... THE BAND!

Oh..and Frankie goes to Hollywood but they don't really count.

I saw BTO, but did anyone include their predecessor

The Guess Who?

and here's one:

The Pozo-Seco Singers

and did anyone start down the "Super Group" road?

ASIA
MSG
The Firm
Damn Yankees

Looks like obscure 80's is acceptable, I saw Robert Hazard which reminded me of

The Hooters

which for some reason reminded me of

Haircut 100

and I forgot another "Super Group":

Power Station

which reminds me of

Robert Palmer - I still love that "Sneakin Sally" trilogy, oh shit, backup band on that song:

Little Feat(sp?)

Pure Prairie League

and who was that "Green Eyed Lady" guy....

then there's always Gary Glitter, the name is obscure, but I'm sure you'd be hard pressed to find any American that isn't familiar with that Rock n Roll Pt II riff. Can't attend or watch a sporting event without hearing that one....

(and the songs?)

Starland Vocal Band (Afternoon Delight)
Firefall (You Are the Woman, Cinderella, Just Remember I Love You)

here's a really obscure one:

It's A Beautiful Day (White Bird)

Green Eyed Lady? You mean by Sugarloaf?

Tweed,
The one about the lawfirm......actually just YES without Chris Squire. Whatever happened to him?

Twist------
Don't know what happened to any of the Yes Folk........I guess they have broken up for the 75th time.I really liked the 'Fragile/Close To the Edge" lineup of Yes,with Mr. Squire on bass.I did see the first show of the Union tour in Pensacola FL,and it was really good...although that was years ago.
Genya Raven and Ten Wheel Drive was a great one!!!

Sorry, somehow I got my one hit wonders crossed...

I said "Green Eyed Lady" guy when I was thinking of Norman Greenbaum, the "Spirit in the Sky" guy... :(

Never heard of "Lawfirm"...

"The Firm" was the Jimmy Page, Paul Rodgers (sp?, Bad Co.) collaboration.

Right on,Mr Miller.
I was raised listening to Chet............my mom and dad had almost all his albums.I only hope that this generation and ones to come will explore and discover the gift that Chet was blessed with.It is hard to believe one man could possess so much talent.

They are claiming to have the original lineup of Anderson, Howe, Squire, Alan White, and believe it or not.............

Some of these so called "old and obscure" bands where my favorites for some time. It is nice to go back through the years and think back on the point in time you were really into some of these bands though. That's about all I can remember about some of those years:D
