Audio Technica makes some beautiful microphones, but alas, the 2020 is the bottom of their barrel.

Yes, but it is also one of the cheapest. If it's all you can afford it's good bang for buck. Anyway it seems all sorted now.

By the way I have been using AT2010 mics (hand held version of the AT2020) in the studio for live demos, cover bands that want a quick demo with everyone play live like on stage, the AT2010 works well for this but needs a wind sock.
