The banning seems a proper shame if permanent. I don't really know what went on, but it seems that this site has two distinct sections - one being for homerecording and the other being the cave. The two don't really seem to overlap much (either in terms of users or tone) and I'm guessing if it's anything like last time he got banned that someone in the cave got pissy about some name calling, which as far as I can tell is the whole point of the it in the first place. To be honest, I'm not really bothered what goes on down there.
The guy contributes loads of positive stuff both in terms of his own stuff and others - what on earth would be achieved by banning him? Spammers and vexatious newbies who go loco in the main sections I can kind of see the point of, but this seems a little self-defeating. Hope there's a re-think.
