Someday I will pay more than $400 for a guitar.
If the guitar is truly worth it, you likely will. Like with my Gibson Les Paul Faded Double Cutaway, or my Fender Bass VI. Otherwise, they're the only 2 of my 17 that I've paid over $500.00 for, but I still paid under $1K as well, so I'm happy.

And then there were 12....

A Martin D-15......

Mmmmmmmm!:)

She's a beauty MK!!! I love the look of Mahogany. I had a Mahogany Samick and loved the warm tone it had. I traded it in when I bought my Crafter, which I love also.(has more bright tones to my ear). I think it may be rosewood. I'm not too good at guessing the wood.....but I have always wished, I would have kept the Samick and just bought the Crafter with cash instead...I am greedy like that.:D

How long before that dozen becomes a "baker's" dozen...?;)

Well,

I have to sell 3 or 4 of them first. It also depends on my wife, who's been very patient with my obsessional guitar buying this year. I've given my word that I won't bring up buying another guitar until the second half of next year. God help me if I go back on my word.... :)

I've never bought 5 guitars in one year before. I must say that I enjoyed it! I am learning a bit about setting up guitars, especially in view of the fact that I've had trouble with a local shop, and I think they're a bunch of crooks. They'll likely not see another Pfennig from me.

Now I am just going to enjoy playing my Preciousssesssssss!

Cheers,

MK

nice guitar...what wood is that? walnut?

i don't know how you do it....geez, I get anxiety if I have more than one!
I have one bass, one acoustic, one electric, one amp, one DI,

last few months I've had two electrics !! trying to decide which "one"?...different strings, same "fender Standard setups...one a 12" Radius, the other a 9.75"radius...etc..

Squier 51'
Guitar Players Choice Award

Hardtail, Strat body back side cut away, Tele neck, Fender-Squier design with the versatility of a hum and single coil and split dual coil.... don't get me started :D

Mahogany, or Sapele, possibly both. It is the 'bottom of the line', no-frills Martin solid wood guitar. I bought it because it has a unique tone which contrasts significantly to my Taylor.

Cheers,

MK

59 Harmony Rocket
60's Vox Spitfire

Looks like my number has changed, and so have the instruments - but surprisingly, the number has gone down

Heritage 575
Taylor 312c

Do basses and other miscelaneous count though? I also have an Ibanez SR485 bass and a Fender F mandolin.
