Good films?

Ed Harris, right?? I saw that one a while ago and thought it was great!!

There's another similar movie with Daniel Craig, bt can't remember the name.

Yeah, that's the one. Ed Harris plays the only American in the camp. His face is so freakin' lined...he looks 100 years old in this. Colin Farrell is in it too and not surprisingly, he plays a pretty crazy character.

Not sure about the other film. Sounds familiar and I think I may've even seen it, but can't remember...

I like the Netflix streaming. You can watch movies you may not normally consider buying or renting. If you don't like it, just switch.

Yup, I enjoyed that one. My son wasn't thrown by the language barrier at all. Apparently zombie violence knows no cultural boundaries :)!

Sorry to quote the old post but I REALLY REALLY tried to get into "The Horde"...watched it for 30 mins last night but I just wasn't feeling it :( I might try again tonight lol.

I don't care about different languages as long as they provide English subtitles. I at least want to know what they are saying lol.

I've seen some Japanese movies that have been absolutely incredible! One that features the Japanese in WWII on Iwo Jima, and the other that features dancing. Can't really remember the names of the movies unfortunately.

EDIT: Found them on the wonder that is the Internet! It was called Shall we Dance?. The 1996 Japanese version. Not the remake.

The other was called Letters from Iwo Jima

Ah, I saw Letters also. Thought it was great.

Recently watched Downfall, german with english subtitles. Really good insight into hitler's last days. After teh first few minutes you forget you're "reading" a movie.

Yeah, I mean it isn't like a zombie materpiece or anything, but I enjoyed it. It was gritty and tense and stuff, but probably not for everyone.

Although told from a Japanese point of view, Letters from Iwo Jima is actually a Clint Eastwood movie. He got a fair amount of grief at the time too for telling a tale that was thought by some to be overly sympathetic to our former enemy.

Japanese cinema can be great...check our any films by Akira Kurosawa, particularly Ran, Kagemusha, Throne of Blood and The Seven Samurai.

Of course, there nothing like a good 'ole Kaiju flick...godzilla, gamera, etc...

I saw Cloud Atlas last week that was pretty good. Watched Abe Lincoln vampire slayer last night - much better than Lincoln versus Zombies. I am definitely going to check out Skyfall. That Rock of Ages movie was horrible - why would they pick those songs - anyway I don't think anything could have saved that movie - Baldwin was good in it, that was about it. CZJ was watchable but it was pretty painful.

Just got back from Cloud Atlas. Spectacular movie (if you like this type of movie). Makes me want to write the fictional opus (Cloud Atlas Sextet)!

x THE NEW BOND MOVIE x

Got to say, this is pretty bloody excellent. When I saw Die Another Day for the first time, I thought this franchise has run it's course. It was overly glossy and plodding in every respect. It's been revitalised though - Craig has been superb, Mendes direction has been cracking, the cinematography is gorgeous and the plot is genuinely very good (not something you can always say with Bond films).

Definitely recommended for any folks who haven't seen it yet.

I'm a Bond freak!
So much so that I'm not going to the opening because I'm waiting until I can have the theater to myself.
I'll be honest, Brosnan is Bond to me. Probably just because he was the bond I was raised with.
I loved Casino Royale though. Q.o.S...meh.

Hope its good!

First Elmo Now my ..... No. No! NO! Stop it! Stop it, please! I beg you! This is sin! This is sin! This is sin! It's a sin, it's a sin, it's a sin! ..... James Gay James Bond.
