Firepod-Not working

I was watching ebay like a hawk recently (as I was in the market for another Firepod) and several have sold for around $300. Strangely at the same time Musiciansfriend was blowing out new ones for $340. I even think a guy was selling a few brand new ones on ebay starting at $300. People were still buying the used ones for the same money. Maybe it was because of the extra Christmas money floating around.
 
I paid $300 for a used firepod over a year ago. I just bought a second one on ebay (used) in early December for $240. I think $250 would be a good, reasonable price for a working used firepod.
 
Ya same I bought a firepod in the summer for $300 canadian but I keep seeing them pop up on craigs for up to $400. Im in the market for grabbing another one but theres no way I pay that.
 
considering that this could have made a decent drum submixer or a bank of cheap preamps for someone w/o even getting fixed, $100 shipped seems like it would have been a pretty good deal :)
