I have searched the archives but couldn't find anything. With what microphone/preamp was Jimi Hendrix' voice recorded on Electric Ladyland? An U47?

Hi everybody,
I get random pops and about 6dB more noise on the left channel of my mp20 when i connect two earthworks SROs. The problem remains on the left channel if I swap both cables and mics or connect only one mic to the left channel, but disappears when i connect my pair of mc012. I...
Is there anybody out there that has ever compared a tb6 to other high end preamps? I mean, it is just hard to believe that a handcrafted highquality 4 channel preamp should only cost 650 $. If it sounds just half as good as they claim, it would be incredible.

Hello,
maybe this is of any interest: I have put up two recordings of brass quartett done partly with the beyer m500 ribbon. They can be found on www.besonic.com/liquidjazz and are called "freuet euch ihr christen alle" and "brich an oh schönes morgenlicht". I checked with different mic...

Hi,
after recording with the 414b uls and later comparing it directly to the nt1000 and ntk I tend to consider it a rather flat but very transparent mic, but people keep on telling me that they don't like it because it is too bright. Compared to my 4035 and the rodents, to my ears it sounds very...
The song has been aproved, any coments highly apreciated.

to listen to the song in stereo at 124kb/s you have to download it!
The bass player plays a Yamaha 6-string "John Patitucci" (don't remeber who asked this), and the drumsticks have gone... And we will be back...
so i will jump into the cold water and post a song we recorded recently. Be careful, it is kind of Bebop/Hardbop/latin style, so if this causes alergic reactions to you you may better back off.
There was no eq done except for moving the mics, but we did overdubs. Reverb is only what the room...
