    Alright...

I would definitely add some distortion and parallel compression to the drums. Maybe compress the rooms more..they just lack that energy the song needs. I am not sure how you tracked the guitars, but I would have tracked more of them. They sound a little thin to me. one thing I like in guitars...

    Here's a new song I produced...check it out

Thanks guys, I actually used BFD for the drums. I spent a shitload of time on learning how to program drums so they sound like a real drummer. It's the ludwig brass snare and the DW kick. Ludwig snres rule! I like that new master Eck..you basically added some nice EQ there, and I did not EQ it...

    Here's a new song I produced...check it out

you are correct sir. I had 2 takes of his vocal. The double underneath just got heavier, verb and compression. I also automated when the dostortion send would come on and off (off until middle of verse 1 for example) I Eqd just a little around 1.5 k for a boost and compressed pretty hard with a...

Cool..post a song and get it remastered. :) What did you do to it? I boosted the volume and ran it into Glip..raised that by 2db and then went into the L2 and took off a db. I think it's at around -9db...did you add some more highs?

My metal guitar tone. Best i've done yet I think.

I actually know the Trvium guitar chain. Not a lot of gain at all. In fact, you would want to put a TS808 in front of the amp, bass around 4 mids around 5-6 treble at 6-7 and presence boosted. This works well on a dual rectifier amp. The pre they used, if I remember (last album was tracked...

    Here's a new song I produced...check it out

Well, last song I posted here was cool because I got a singer here to jump on it, and it was a really nice job by him. This one is my old singer that tragically died in a car wreck in 2005. He was previously signed to Atlantic and we worked together on writing songs for a record. So I am...

    Stash98 Freudian Slip Collaboration.

Thanks dude. I have always been big on arrangement, and spend a lot of time on that aspect of a song.

    Stash98 Freudian Slip Collaboration.

Thanks True..appreciate it. And the way I get songs loud without squishing them to death is this : I mix down the 2 track..maybe take 4db off at most with the buss compressor. The mix peaks near 0. Then I open a new project and make a group channel with a limiter on it on it. I take the...

Wow thanks guys, I am really sorry that I have not been on, but I have been at a music conference and am running on 4 hours of sleep! It's nice to login and see a song cranked out! Very cool stuff man...and in Freuds defense, he was mixing into a 2 track i sent him of the song that was already...

    Any Singers for an instrumental?

hehe.. :D well I meant it a little differently of course. I like to let the singer write their own words because lyrics affect the melodies a lot. I played all the instruments and wrote and arranged all the parts...isn't that enough dammit? :D

    Any Singers for an instrumental?

haha..yeah..i definitley threw in the part from war pigs. Nice catch. And I never write lyrics for the singer, I like it when they do it all.

    Any Singers for an instrumental?

Was also wondering also about the guitars. I like the drum sound, but the cymbals were tough..they either disappeared or got a little harsh..they may clash with the distorted guitars a little.

Rock Remix of a Rap Track

I pulled it for now. I think I'll repost it as just the instrumental. It will make more sense that way, and maybe I can a singer to nail it with a big chorus.

Rock Remix of a Rap Track

yeah, I can see what you are saying. It is actually on key, but I flipped it from emphasizing Emin like the original Chorus to Gmajor. The verse goes back to Emin, so that's probably why you like it more. I just wanted to really push how far I could flip the song.

Rock Remix of a Rap Track

I put up a remix of a Rap Single, but it's a different interpretation then maybe you'd expect. See what you think: myspace.com/methlab first song on there.
