What is the name of this effect?

Oh, sorry for my unclear description. I am referring to the sound right before the reverse reverb. Since this sound only last for few seconds, that's why I cut out those unrelated. After checking out windchimes, I know this is the sound that I want. I wonder if people just buy one windchimes...

Can you name the drum types in this recording?

Are there any books or articles related to "fake" drums? I want to know more about it. It looks like it's not that effective for me to mess around with different filters. I would like to know what has been done by others.

Can you name the drum types in this recording?

Thanks for the information. In fact, I am still a newbie to drum programming. All I know are kick, snare, hi-hat and cymbal. After knowing it is "e-drums", I think I will go experimenting with it.

Why hi-hat always need panning but not the vocal?

After using DAW for a while, I start to pay attention to the panning when I listen to a song. What I observed is that the hi-hat always panned to the right and the vocal never panned. I wonder if there are examples that the main vocal being panned.

It's me again, asking about sound. I love the bell sound in as shown in the first track which is from a song. What bass sound is missing in my mix?

Oh I see. I totally get it now. It looks like the composer hasn't publish the original score, that's why I am doing the transcription now and practicing my sound controlling skill at the same time. If I still cannot get the bass notes, I am going to compose the later half by myself. Thanks for...

What bass sound is missing in my mix?

I am a little bit confused about the two sentences. The sound being midi usually means the sound is not good enough. But why do you say they have done an excellent job of scoring?

How to prevent headphone connectors from oxidizing?

I live in Hong Kong where the humidity is around 80-90% most of the time. I believe that the connector of my Sennheiser HD 202 II has oxidized a little bit since whenever I plug it in my audio interface, it has only sound from the right. I have to spin the connector several times in order to get...

    Whats a good microphone?

It reminds me of the day when I was still a newbie. I am now using SM58 + Scarlatti 2i2 to record my harmonica. SM58 is conformable to hold when playing harmonica:guitar:

    Need a Decent Mic

It seems in you case, SM58(~$150) + scarlett solo(~$100) would be the best choice. Since you are only recording yourself, no need to go for Scarlett 2i2 which can record 2 mics at the same time.

Building new PC. Sound card questions.

I thought an external interface would be more convenient since you can bring it to elsewhere for another recording project.
