Greetings -
I have a UR44C and a pair of AT4041's.
Recording vox & guitar.
So far, I've tried recording to a Samsung Tab S6 (Open Camera recording) and a Lenovo X390 (i5 10210U, 8 GB) running Audacity.
The S6 was released August 2019; the X390 in Feb. 2019.
The former sounded clean and...

I have a Symetrix 302, which feeds a Delta 44 into my PC, and record using Audacity.
I monitor via a mobilePre USB.
Like this:
I *don't* have Audacity play back the track I'm recording.
Am I introducing unnecessary latency by using the mobilePre for monitoring and,
if so, would...
Delta 44 vs. AudioFire2
Goal: Pass the signal from a Symetrix 302 preamp into Audacity or Reaper.
AudioFire has the advantages of portability and a headphone jack.
Any other noteworthy benefits?
Any sonic differences?
Any advantages in the the Delta's column?
Thanks much.

I have a Roland F-90 digital piano that I'd like to record.
What sort of inexpensive hardware interface would allow me to record it into
i) a WinXP PC running Audacity?
ii) a Macbook or Mini running GarageBand?
Thanks.

Roland F-90: MIDI or analog?
Greetings -
To date, I've only recorded vox & mic'd acoustic guitar into either Audacity or Music Creator.
Would like to add some piano to a mix.
We have a Roland F-90 digital piano (the manual for which has long since been misplaced)
which, in addition to MIDI...

Looking for a couple of cost-effective TRS cables that are 'good enough',
to connect an SX202 to a Delta 44 (both recently acquired from evilBay).
Thanks kindly.

I'm a simple guy with simple needs -- recording acoustic strings (guitar/mando/banjo)
and vocals, one track at a time. I also would like to hook up MIDI out from
our Roland F-90.
My current home recording setup uses an AT2020 or SM-57 into a MobilePre,
thence to a homegrown PC...

Would like to upgrade my MobilePre, relatively inexpensively,
and determine if 96/24 or 192/24 really sounds better than 48/16.
To my ears, anyway.
Simple guy, simple needs. I only record one mono or stereo track
at a time. Need to plug in an AT2020 (so phantom power req'd)...
Greetings.
I occasionally write songs, and record them using an old PC (Athlon 2700/512MB)
running Audacity on WinXP, an M-Audio MobilePre USB and (usually) an AT2020.
Guitar & vocal. Sometimes I'll add background vocals or another guitar or mandolin line.
A simple guy (very), with simple...

I need a pop filter (or two). Two questions.
1) Are there significant sonic differences between foam & screen?
2) If not, I'm inclined towards foam. But prices for the name brand filters are simply outrageous. Can anyone suggest where I might find a reasonable source for filters...
Greetings.
If I have some modest mics (SM-57, SM-58, AT-2020) feeding an RNP preamp, what would be a comparably cost-effective way to get the signal to the computer with decent fidelity?
Thanks.

Newbie here.
I've got an old homegrown PC (Athlon XP 2700), Audacity, an SM-58, an SM-57 and an AT-2020. Just recording vocals, guitar & mando. Perhaps some keyboards. If I watch my room positioning, I can occasionally get a decent recording of my wretched performances, but there's...
