I'm a brand loyalist, I would say. I love me some BC Rich guitars. I own 3 right now. I'm in the middle of restoring one of them. I'll continue to buy and play BCR guitars, too. I love the way they feel and sound.

A lot of my favorite albums have a pretty varying range of master volumes, I've noticed. For example: right now, I'm loving Veneficum's album, "In Tranquil Absurd". The master volume = loud as shit. On the other hand, Death's "Human" album (another big favorite) is pretty low in master volume...

I'm kinda curious on how well it works. I don't really have a need for it since I record instrumental music, but I'm just wondering how effective it is. I suppose I could try it on a stray guitar note or something.

I love some solid stateage. I vote Line 6, because I'm quite fond of my Spider II 150. My cab isn't much to be desired, though. But the direct-in from the Line 6 sounds fantastic.

I put .009s on my ST-III just to try them out again, which is a gauge I haven't played in years. And... gross. I don't like it. I'm going back to .010. They just feel too soft.

When I had my Tama Iron Cobras, I never really messed with the angles, but I did experiment a LOT with spring tension. I primarily played lots of death metal which obviously involved double-kick, so I had the springs set pretty tight. They weren't maxed out, but they were pretty tight. It took a...
