I was thinking it would be nice to be able to move around without a chord stuck to your head when tracking vocals. anybody else have wireless headphones? are there any issues with them?

well I do my tracking in a storage unit in Utah and it get's down to about as low as 0 degrees F though rarely. And it get's up to 100 degrees in the Summer. Anyways, it'd be nice to just leave my sm7b on the stand all hooked up and ready to go but I worry about these temperatures ruining it...

I connect my external hard drive via 1394 firewire and it suddenly stopped working. my hard drive does work via USB still. So it's not the hard drive. not sure if it's the cable yet. But, how do I know if it's my laptop?

would you install photoshop, dreamweaver, flash and fireworks on the same laptop as your DAW? I heard that if those programs are not running, then it won't compete for RAM. Is this true? will it compete for cpu power?
