    recording drums with these

I am no expert my any means in the recording field, but i am learning new things everyday, so any question you have feel free to fire my way, and i'll do my best to answer them. And no, my band isn't signed we basically just play for fun.

    recording drums with these

Well, what i would do is run the both as drum overheads. It's not a perfect solution, but it could be worse. I would run the LDC over the floor tom side of the kit, and the SDC over the snare side of the kit about 6 feet in the air or so (enough to pick up the full sound of the kit fairly...

    Bathroom as a vocal booth?

Oh, i forgot to mention.....that the only drawback to the above method, was that the bathroom was pretty much like a oven when our singer was in there. There was no ventalation, so after every take he'd have to open the door to cool off. ;)

    Bathroom as a vocal booth?

Well, I recorded my band a while back and used a bathroom as a vocal booth, and an iso booth for guitars. What I did was throw all of the blankets, pillows and towels i had into the room. The room was only about 4 x 4, but i had pillows stacked on top of the toilet, on top of the sink, on the...

    Latency...how bad is it really?!?!?

So I am looking at getting one of the M-Adio USB keyboards, and was wondering how bad the latency really is on them? Is it really an issue, or is it good enough to ignore? Would running the MIDI out of one of these keyboards, into the MIDI in of a firewire device provided a smaller latency...

    recording bass?

I second the Sansamp Bass Driver. I've used it as my primary bass DI in the studio and live. It's a great unit and does a great job emulating a raging SVT, and gets some other great overdrive tones. I have also had good luck with a MXR M80 Bass DI+ which, like the Sansamp is designed for bass...

    Logic Express/FirePod/Pro Tools LE/Digi 002R

Ok, so here is my situation: I currently own an Mbox and Pro Tools LE, but am yet to use Pro Tools since I need to upgrade to use with OS X Tiger. So for the time being I have ben using the Mbox with Garageband. I plan on recording a full band some day soon, and would like to have at least 8...

    Standard Rock Song

Ok, so this is my first ever attempt at recording my entire band, and i just wanted to get some advice on what to change in this mix. I know there are obvious things like bringing the vocals down, and the drums up a bit. The drums were done with 4 mics (two overheads, bass drum, and snare/hh)...

    Small Diaphram Condensors???

Gidge, I have tried it on an acoustic and liked the sound of it. The only other mic I have tried on acoustics is an Audio-Tech 4033 (and the B1 sounds pretty close, in my amatuer opinion). I just got the B1 yesterday so I haven't had much time to get used to it. I just figured with a small...

    Small Diaphram Condensors???

I am looking for a affordable SDC that will be primarily used for Acoustic Guitar, but it would be a nice bonus if it did a nice job on vocals. Right now all I have is a Behringer B1 (LDC). And a Taylor Big Baby for an acoustic (if that matters). I don't have a mic preamp, and I am running into...
