Am I correct in assuming that regardless of the instrument you are compressing, you should set the threshold so that gain reduction is at about 6-8 db? On my RNC compressor, I have been turning the Threshold counter-clockwise until the Gain Reduction meter hits 6-8 on a constant basis. Is...

They seem affordable. The PS5's appear to be in my price range. How are they? BTW What frequency ranges do I need to stay between? I think the PS5 get down to 45-50 hz, is that low enough for a typical rock band? Thanks Robert

What are the noticible differences? We are scraping by with two 58s as overheads right now, but we have an Nt1, and if the diffence would be phenomonal I would consider going and grabbing another Nt1, or even and Nt2! What do you guys think? Thanks Robert
