Just for shits and grins I dug out my Ross flanger and my DOD flanger 670 and ran them in stereo. The signal chain is: out of tune LP custom with dead strings > Carvin Legacy > Palmer PDI-03 > Ross flanger [left] > interface...

Here is another clip of a typical rock tone that I would use live. The chain is the same as before : LP > Legacy > PDI-03 > G-Major 2 > interface.

Here is a quick clip of my Carvin Legacy. I pick softly then hard to show how this amp responds to dynamic picking. No post processing was done other than adding a bit of reverb.

Batting won't make it sound any better. The "stiffener" should be screwed on to another piece of wood that is screwed to the front baffle boards. No you don't need to separate the cab to run stereo. As long as the speaker efficiencies are not drastically different it will not be a problem.

This color with cream pickups + pick guard and gold hardware would look pretty sweet.
