with glass though u will DEFINITELY get a LOT of reflection.. with your original door idea you can pad the inside like the other walls to minimise that~

just got my nEar05 over the weekend... love them... made my mix a LOT flatter response (no more hifi outputs!!!)... but i guess anythings an upgrade..
it does need to be a decent volume to be balanced sounding... not excessively loud given its 5"... (much better than the 8" when i tried it at...

1 - i presume theres a door somewhere for access? if so whats the need for the glass? =P just for pure admiration!??! :p
2 - hows the foam performing? do you get much (A LOT) of reverb and room (box) sound? i find it hard to imagine...

recently got meself a pair of ESI nEar05s and have it hooked up to my MAudio 1010lt
in the manual it says to use TRS Balanced or unbalanced connections..
currently im only using TS connections in the inputs.. does it make any difference? and why would it need a balanced TRS input in...
Im in no way an expert but when i got a DMP3 pres to use instead of my dodgy mixer pres... the improvements were huge... every mic i used sounded more lively
so if u think ur pre's are hodling u back.. it probably is not worth upgrading mics as ur pres will just render them crap ANYWAY..

i have been using cubase for a while now and i've never been able to figure out how to get a db number from the level meters? i can get them going up and down with the monitor and play back fine.. but i dont have a numeric reference?!?
is there somewhere i can turn them on or am i...
My First interface was a Tascam US144
it 2 xlr preamp and 2 1/4" inputs (with 1 selectable for guitar input rather than mic)
stereo/mono switchable so u dun have an empty channel goign through if ur just gonna use 1 mic
its usb like u wanted
great flexibility with monitoring ur pc/instrument...

I did end up deciding to buy it off him for ~300USD.
Theres a LOT of sound to choose from and its taking me forever to read through the manuals…
The main problem I have with it at the moment is I cant get it back to the original sounds that’s listed in reference...

^DITTO!!.. go the metal muff. my heavy pedal of choice.. eq necessary on pedal depending on amp and speakers...
and also agree about the metal zone over the metal core...
and ditch the MG man its only gonna hold u back from finding the GOOD distortions...actually i take that back.. u can...
