    Rode Ntk

    Being that the NTk has its own power source can I bypass my preamp all together and go straight to a balance 1/4 input. Or do I still have to go thru a preamp with the phantom power switched off.

    Recording thru s/pdif

    I want to record into my computer with my MPC via my sound cards s/pdif. will there be an improvement over going thru its converts without the benefit of a word clock generator. The mpc has no interface for word clock. Would I be better off just buying an Alesis HD24 for professional quality...
