It's really only hitting the L3 limiter maybe 2 or 3 db max. there's some other compression going on though.

I'm not sure how you are getting overs constantly. If you are getting overs in cool edit, the meter is calibrated wrong and you probably get overs with tracks you pull off any commercial CD. There are no overs with this track in Wavelab or Protools. I haven't tried any other program. Thanks...

well, actually Hawthorne Heights is suing Victory. The singer for that band owns our label so I'm a little worried about our Distribution deal with Victory but it's a separate entity so it should be fine. So far, we've been pleased.

I using mostly a great river preamp on this recording. Presonus digimax for converters and protools LE with the 001. Mixed in the box. Used a couple of nice outboard stuff like distressor, some really expensive EAR compressor and some neve eq's. also used a smart c2 compressor on the kick
