Vintage Ludwigs or New Legacy set/kit

I haven't been on here in a while, 5 years.....lol. but anyway, I was in a car accident and have a little money coming. I have figured out that to be truly happy I will need a Bonham style kit, and a Jazz/bop kit. I can get the Paiste cymbals (rev al big ride etc.) for the Bonham kit and more...

    1963. kicken butt.

Yeah, he lives in New Jersey somewhere and still teaches I guess, and he's like 80 years old. Still plays, but he hasn't gotten any better.:p http://drummerworld.com/Videos/joemorelloplay.html

Any Drumming instructional dvd's worth getting?

That moeller technique, or whatever it is that Jo Jo Mayer does, also Mangini I think. 20 beats per second (insane). I think my pinky's are to short for that, but I will give it my best attempt to learn over the next year. I don't guess it's needed, but it is kinda cool.

Any Drumming instructional dvd's worth getting?

There was this Jo Jo Mayer dvd I was looking at. I need to bring up my weak hand (left) and something to for timing. And something for generally getting all my limbs to do what I want them to. I was practicing 'Fool in the Rain' today, and it was pretty difficult.

    Are there quiet-er cymbals?

I agree with the comment about technique. I think the problem is with people. I don't think drums are to loud. I had a friend over a few days ago, and he said "Wow, I could actually develop hearing problems by being around the drums." I didn't say anything, but that is kind of ridiculous to...

    Are there quiet-er cymbals?

Right now My cymbal set up is Zildjian zbt hats, a worthless sunlight crash, and a paiste 200 20" ride, which is pretty good. (this is what my used kit came with). I have some guys that will jam with me, but they are all saying the drums are too loud for them. They have been midi-ized, and...

    Check this dude out!

When I first watched it I though it was a joke. But I believe he thinks people are being truthful when they're saying he's good. There are comments on every one of his cover video's. It's like "Windy City Heat", the joke is on him, I think.

    No sound on my computer.

I have had an emu 0404 sound card with cubasis and patchmix. I have checked everything I know of. I even reinstalled the sound card, still nothing. Any ideas?
