Yo, Im thinking of upgrading my imac. I have a 256gb ssd to replace the existing hdd, im going to get a "Genius" at the mac store to do it and while they are at it, put some more memory in it. That, hopefully shouldnt be a problem. But should I upgrade from Leopard to Lion? I have cubase etc...

In my wee home studio I use all vst effects and instruments in my recordings. Using a lot of vsts along side audio and midi is getting too resource intensive for my system. (well I assume some of the problems I'm having are due to resources, through research and advice here - choppy playback...

ive just accepted defeat... might as well get my boy into it early... but seriously.. lock the door and just occasionally take them in to your studio sometime - supervised. it quenches their curiosity and makes them understand its "daddy's room". well that, kinda worked for me.
