What do you think these guys use? Their sound is ideal.

I have a mixer, and I want to record a radio sounding podcast. Ive given up on the music scene. What do you recommend for a microphone for spoken word? Dynamic or condensor?
Im on a small budget, also.
ALSO, I have another co-host. So Ill need two mics. Im a guy and shes a girl.
I have the exact same question if someone can help.
I have a guitar track that I want to record strings on top of. So one track for guitar and one from strings.
The strings will be coming in from Reason. Do I use Rewire? What do I do? When I use ReWire it wont let me arm the track to record...
Ive recorded my whole song in Cubase, and now I want to add strings. I want to do it as if I have a mic hooked up to the violin, and its going in as an audio track instead of MIDI from Reason.
How do I do this?
(I want to make Reason and Cubase work together)
Is it possible to do a live performance with my Firebox? Like either have the speakers connected to the firebox, or even through a laptop (that way I could do live effects as I go). What software would allow me to do live effects, if I can?
Thanks
I cant hear the notes I put in Sonar... I dont have any other special MIDI interfaces, and Im on Windows XP. What can I do? This must be really simple...
What are the best string samples? Such as violin and cello, or even a whole ensemble. I need it to work with Sonar or Fruity Loops. It needs to be like an instrument, where I can choose which note to play.
Thanks!
