I cant hear the notes I put in Sonar... I dont have any other special MIDI interfaces, and Im on Windows XP. What can I do? This must be really simple...
 
what are you using as a sound source? You must assign a sound to be played. what exactly are you trying to do?
 
Okay, I used the piano roll to do the notes and stuff, and then when I click play I dont hear anything. For my MIDI output, its Microsoft MIDI Mapper

You need something that makes sound. Like a synthesizer. Some soundcards have built in sounds, do you know what kind you have??
 
Every version of SONAR ever released has come with a couple of DX soft synths, so you should have those available to use, regardless of whether or not you have a built-in MIDI synth on your card.
