Zildjian A 20 inch ride (made in USA)
Seems to be very old. I should be able to date it soon.
Medium weight but still dark-ish with a controlled wash
I added 4 brass rivets
Structural problem: slight key-holing. No other structural problems.
Nice, even, and fairly substantial patina (which darkens the tone)
This came with an old Gretsch drum set that someone had in storage for over 30 years, so it must have been made before 1977. The previous owner claims that it looked like that back in the 70’s so it may have been made much earlier.
The stamp appears to from the late 50's and there is no evidence of letting of any kind on the bottom. The A's from the 70's have the same stamp as those from the late 50's. However, those made in the 70's also have ink lettering on the bottom of the cymbal. There is no evidence of ink lettering of any kind on this cymbal so I’m selling it as a late 50’s model.
I have had great success with this unless the volume gets super loud.
Typical new price: $224 (not really applicable)
