WTB: Tascam 388 Drive/Reel Motors (x2)

I actually was able to order one through him. BUT, I don't need it cause I was able to fix mine by replacing the motor brushes. At least I have a spare!

Thank you for your reply!

Oh, cool. I meant to ask what you wanted them for in case it was an electronics problem instead.
But with the brushes, were they standard parts you were able to obtain easily or did they come from another machine?

Well, I accidentally ruined the brushes while cleaning the commutators on the motors.
It was not a standard part but I found some. I used some electronic calipers to measure the original brushes. I was not able to find an exact match, but i used sand paper to get them to size. I used some wire cutter to remove the bottom plate and spring of the new brushes and used the old springs. The wire leads are then soldered to the each leg of the cap inside the motor plate.
Motors are stronger than ever and now I have a bunch of spare brushes!
