While you're at it, you'd better play it on the safe side and ask that the Shure registration card still be intact and the seller must show proper receipt of the original purchase so you know you're not picking up one of those chinese knock offs you see on eBay all the time.

his point was that finding exactly what you are looking for used in your area for a really great price is a crapshoot at best.
if you keep your eyes peeled you will find used 57s here occasionally. you will probably have to get the cable on your own though.

for what it's worth i see used 57s on my local craigslist occasionally for around 50 bucks. thats the best way to find something local since the forum members here are from all over the world.
