i been thinking og getting the 44 but i started looking at the usb interfaces and they handle everything ( all moniter connections, mic, headphones) what do u guys think
would i benefit more from a usb audio interface or a PCI soundcard

how many simultaneous tracks do you need to record?
if you just need to record 1 stereo pair at a time in 24bit/48khz (or less) then usb is fine.

yeah i record rap vocals so yeah one mic at is being used if u could would u post some good ones for 300 or less

I prefer PCI cards more cause of its stability. USB can get slow at times but PCI is always high speed at all times.
