wiring conundrum

I have a vocal microphone which requires 48v phantom power to operate. I am using an Aardvark Direct Pro 24/95 to supply the phantom power as well as take the signal in to my computer. I want to purchase an FMR Real Nice Compressor (RNC) which only has 1/4", unbalanced inputs and outputs - of course, no phantom power. Can anyone tell me what I can do so that I can have the mic going through the compressor before it gets the the Aark D/A converter? I am really hoping to not have to purchase an outboard phantom power supply.

You need a mic pre to do that. The problem is the RNC ONLY accepts line level audio and is not ment to have mic level voltages going through it (too low). Unless that card has inserts on it were you could patch the RNC in, you'd need an external pre so you could then send line level to your RNC and on to the recorder.
