Wireless USB mics

Since this is a recording forum I'm assuming the use will be recording.
Why would you want to combine two problematic mike characteristics like USB (mike-preamp-converter-in-one package... translates as crap preamp and converter most likely) and wireless (likely interference problems)?
But I have to admit I've never used a wireless USB mike.
