Wired???

Hello there, Gentlemen & Ladies.

One more post, same day as last one.

Now the subject is gear and wiring/routing. I've just started using some paraphernalia I've been collecting for a while now, which I have never touched outside the methaphisical world. Now I've got it all rigged before my interface, and I want to now if I've done it right or even if there's room for improvement according to your royal opinion towards this poor (really, really poor after the last purchases) singer-songwriter-newbie.

So, here's what I've got so far:

SIGNAL CHAINS

UA Solo 610 > RNC PBC-6a > CHANEL 1
Focusrite Isa One > Drawmer DL-441 Quad Compressor Channel I > INTERFACE CHANNEL 2
UA DCS Stereo Remote Preamp I > Drawmer DL-441 Quad Compressor II > INTERFACE CHANNEL 3
UA DCS Stereo Remote Preamp II > Drawmer DL-441 Quad Compressor III > INTERFACE CHANNEL 4
INTERFACE stereo line out > UA DCS Stereo Remote Preamp 1x Stereo TRS Cue in > UA DCS Stereo Remote Preamp 1x Stereo TRS Cue Out > Yamaha HS50M monitors (2)

VACANT (INS):
UA Solo 610 - DI/mono IN
Drawmer DL-441 - Quad Compressor IV IN
INTERFACE - CHANNEL 5 IN
INTERFACE - CHANNEL 6 IN
Digitech Vocalist 4 - 1x balanced mic/line mono IN
Digitech Vocalist 4 - 1x TRS/stereo IN
Digitech Vocalist 4 - 1x DI/mono guitar IN

VACANT (OUTS):
Digitech Vocalist 4 - stereo, 2x balanced/mono OUTS
Digitech Vocalist 4 - stereo, 2x TRS/mono OUTS
Digitech Vocalist 4 - stereo, 1x mini TRS/stereo OUT

MIKES
01 Rode K2 LD multi-pattern tube condenser
01 Rode m3 SD electret condenser
01 CAD Trion 6000 LD 3 pattern condenser
01 EV Cardinal cardioid condenser
01 EV Raven cardioid dynamic

The Vocalist 4 I want for multi-part harmonies. If they sound good enough out of the box, I'll keep them, otherwise I re-record the parts myself, using the computer generated material as pitch-referencing. So, it might be a case of bypassing the units preamp in favor of one of the four channel's line out or plugging Vocalist's microphone in/line out straight to CHANNEL 5/6 INs.

I've got also some Shure fp42 field mixer and fp16 distribution amp, but I've came to think of both as impratically noisy.

So, that's it so far. Looking foward to emlighted prognosis.

Later on maybe we'll evolve into discussing the instruments available for tracking, and the best pairings according to each one's character.

Best regards,

LAWGAR
