Windows Media Player - How can I stream my music?

I want to stream my music on the internet using Windows Media Player.
How can I do this?
How much does it cost to use?
Is Real Video Player a better option?
I know nothing. Ahhhhh.

Go the msn.com to their download area and get "Windows Media Authoring Tools".I believe that is what it is called.
The new windows streaming format is called .asf
You can hear a sample at

File sizes are less than half MP3s and sound as good,plus you don't have to wait a long time for a download.
