Bought some tt bantam cables thinking they are trs cables...will it work the same for a mixer application?

...will it work the same for a mixer application?

What are you asking...will what work in a mixer application?

TT/Bantam cables ARE TRS...they just happen to be a smaller size than the 1/4" TRS....so you can't use one in the other and vice versa.
I've never seen TT/Bantam used in actual mixers, on any mixer I/Os...though many of the pro consoles will include a patchbay on the side that is TT/Bantam.

It seems bantam and 1/4" trs cables are different in size...guess it wont fit. Boo

There are two sizes of plugs for the bantam cables. Neither of which will work. The TT stands for tiny telephone and was designed so that in a single rack space patch bay you could fit 96 patch points.

So, get one of those patchbays or take them back. :D

Recieved the cables yesterday and to my amazement when i plug my microphone to the xlr to tt bantam cable into the line-input jack it works!!!!

... my microphone to the xlr to tt bantam cable into the line-input jack...

Huh?

Maybe you mean to say something different...because microphones don't work very well plugged into Line inputs.
They need to be plugged into a Preamp input.

I'm still trying to understand why you would even be using a TT/Bantam cable anywhere in your hook-up...?
