i recently upgraded my soundcard to an M audio Audiophile 2496
previously i have recorded with an audigy 2, so when the soundcard arrived i re-rendered everything, but its not up to par,the midi recordings still sound Muddy , and the quality is just not there..im wondering why the midi doensn't come clean?
do i have to redo everything? im re-rendering at 24/48 and even went 24/96 and still sounds muddy,with bad cd quality.
i have a pc with core2 duo running at 2.4ghz with 2g of ram
by the way the midi is connected with a midi usb cable that goes to a usb port from the keyboard to the pc usb port ,not directly to the soundcard.,could that be part of the problem?,i didnt think that was the issue bc you already have everything recorded,so the card is just reproducing the midi,but i could be wrong..
