Wierd message on startup- virus?

During startup, just after the pretty graphics logo "Windows 98" comes up, a black screen with something like "preparing to load Windows 9x" in DOS type print comes up, which I guess is normal. But further down the screen it says "C:\ HLLC.COOLGAME" and the next line says"bad command or file name."

I've searched start>find>files or folders "*coolgame*.*"and can't find anything .

Could this be virus?

Jeez, I've been using Trend PC-cillan for a while and it automaticly updates at least every couple weeks. I can't believe this particular virus is on their list and it still got through.

I ran a scan of my entire computer and it found nothing. Is it possible the virus has been "killed" and thus won't show on virus scan, but its remnants are still there giving that message?

Can I go into some .sys or .ini or .bat file or something like that and make it stop looking for this file?

I don't get this message when I boot to my other partition.
