Whistling Parrot -Sound card and pre amp

Back to the singing African greys.
Thanks for all the help so far.
I have found a sourse for the pre-amp
ART Tube MP, is this along the lines of what I need?
The sound card would be Soundblaster AWE 128?
(one above the AWE 64)
Am I heading in the right direction?

Just make sure your parrots don't sneeze sunflower seed into the pop filter - it tends to make it messy:]

I use the ART dual channel mic pre but I don't use it to record my parrot, Zorro, the African Senegal. But, then, he has a whistle that will reach my studio through the walls. Some feisty bird but a neat pet.

Have to run; Kato just fell off his karate chops.
