Which monitor speakers?

Hi,

I have a set-up with a fast computer running Cubase and Cooledit, a soundblaster live platinum soundcard, a Rode NT1 and a Tube MP pre-amp (i.e. no mixer). I mainly record vocals and acoustic guitar but also some electric guitar. I plan to record some violin tracks as well.

I am looking into buying a pair of monitors. I was thinking about the Alesis point seven. Do you think that this is a good choice or are there any other monitor speakers in the same price range that may be more suitable?

The Point Seven are not good for recording. I would go with the Yamaha NS-10.

I'm using the point sevens ... emm I may like them but I personally think you deserve better. ye see, i've no choice .. actually i cannot think of alternatives at that price range. ..

maybe you can try Audix (?!)
