Hey

In January I have long-tour with one metal band as video creator.

I hear this music on living and is very loud + screeching vocals.

I often must be front of scene, and I thinking that better for me, when I have good plugs.

Which plugs is the best and healthy for my ears?

At the moment I using this, but one ear was hurt for it.https://www.patakontakt.pl/userdata/public/gfx/4318/STOPPER-nr-kat-202-kopia.jpg

I testing also:https://7.allegroimg.com/s512/030a8.../ZATYCZKI-DO-USZU-PIANKOWE-2szt-STOPERY-KORKI

But is very poor for louding music.

I've had a pair of earmuffs I've been using for nearly 50 years now. I can't say what their reduction is - somewhere between 25dB and 32dB, I suspect. They're great at reducing the high-pitched and screeching sounds without completely blocking the rest.

They may make you look not-so-cool, like old school headphones.

Here is an example (not the ones I have) : https://ads.midwayusa.com/product/1020615920?pid=785913

Go to an Audiologist and get Custom Fit Plugs - they can go as low as -35db with little fidelity loss.

Great advice!

That said, anything is better than nothing. When we were young and going to a few loud Rock concerts every week first thing we'd do is go to the restroom, ball up some toilet paper and stuff it in our ears. For sure it helped. If you're ever anywhere where you know it's damaging loud and you don't have conventional ear plugs it's a good fast fix that at least reduces the damage a bit.

I usually just rip the filters off old cigarette butts.
Actually for certain they would do a really good job of reducing damage...was never a smoker so never even gave it a thought but yeah those filters would surpass the toilet tissue / napkin wads I used ( which did help) in noise reduction.

Funny story..

At my wedding reception I had a tonof friends and family ...I have a HUGE family and a lot of them were OLD like my brother in law who is like a million years old...Ok maybe he was like 45 when we got married. So we had two bands play at this reception and they were all my buds...It's 1981 ROCK N ROLL!

So about 10 minutes into when the first band started playing my brother in law takes off and goes and buys a couple bags of cotton balls for the older guest...
Funny stuff but he was just being cool all these family members with cotton balls in their ears...

It was at the Church hall ...a big hall with a nice stage...I think we went through like 20 kegs and a ton of Champagne...there may have been some illicit things being consumed too  Cotton Balls That's the ticket!
