Which cables to use on main outs of mixer?

I have a little mixer with XLR main stereo outs. Currently I'm using Hosa interconnect cables - XLR to mono jack. One of them's faulty and I need a replacement. Most of the possible replacements I've seen are microphone cables. This is my question: is there any difference between a so called interconnect cable and a microphone cable? I would just replace the Hosa cable but am not convinced of their durability.

Thanks.

There is a difference between some kinds of cables - for instance, speaker cables are different in that they are unshielded.

But a mic cable can be used for any other application - it doesn't have to be used on a microphone. Just like a guitar cable could be used on a bass or a keyboard. The cable doesn't know or care what you are using it for. All that matters is if the connectors at each end are the appropriate type, and if your equipment is expecting balanced or unbalanced connections.
