Which ADAT card?

Which one would you pick for recording drums with a ADAT connection to a fostex vm88 mixer. It will be mainly used for drums, secondly for vocal and guitar. I have PCI slots and usb no firewire to my computer.

1) E-MU 1212M Master-Level Recording System
2) Echo Gina3G PCI Audio Interface

Do plan on using just one adat connection? Ever? If so, why not just get a pci adat interface card - I think you can get them for about $50.

I have an RME hammerfall, which is 3 adat in/out, spidif, and WC. Great card.

8, for the most part, 10 if you work it.
And I'm with NL5. The RME Hammerfall is the way to go.

My first interface was the ADAT/Edit PCI card. It won't work with anything later than 98se.

Or get the older Hamerfall 9652 (no HDSP) - that's what I have - about 300$ +/- on Ebay or gearslutz. You may check out Lynx as well, I think they make a decent adat card.

The Hamerfall is badass tho.

How do you get 10?

2 channels of S/PDIF, if I remember correctly.
