hi there,

after several months of recording, here i am sitting in front of all this and I'm a little confused...maybe you could post what you think of it. i would appreciate it. some of the the automation is still missing, but don't mind it.

greetings,

yes, get it mastered

Not a bad effort but lacking in some areas.

The overall sound is quite stiifling.
THe vocals are a little too low in the mix.
I cant hear any space apart from that little bit on the intro

yeah, you're right. it's really surpressing. well, i made this for a preview on the radio and i compressed a lot out of it so it is pumping heavily.

maybe i should remove some low end from the bass?
and a little more reverb on the snare?

oh my god...there are still 8 tracks left waiting for me...thanks a lot,

dont remove bass. try adding some 5k and some highs.
It sounds like there is no reverb right now. Some reverb would be good.

Nice song, man! Can't wait to hear the rest.

Here's some highly personal thoughts:

The bass drum kind of masks out the bass guitar. I feel it has a little too much punch in comparison to the rest of the song. It sounds ok but it takes over the whole mix a bit.

The overheads sound like they're panned a lot. I would pan them a bit less to get a tighter drum sound. The reverb on the snare is cool, maybe a bit less on the cymbals in the beginning to go with the fairly dry vocals that comes in.

Anyways, it's already now a good mix and the song is really cool,
