What's with these two interfaces?

The 192 is 64-bit and 192khz. Major difference.

Not that it means anything. 99% of us don't need anything higher than 44.1khz and a $200 card in a million-dollar studio that it would take to support 192khz is a laugh.

But the 192 has only 2 ins/outs. The 1010 with 10ins/outs would be much more useful for the price range.
 
Ah! So the 192's theoretically superior capabilities would never be heard, is that it? If so, it seems an odd selling point, to my way of thinking. In fact, it seems odd that they bothered making it that way.

Audiophile 192 is balanced while 1010 is not...well maybe xlr's are but rca's arent....i think
 
The 192 has newer, "better" sounding converters. Whether you can hear the difference on your system or not is another matter.
