So, the Beatle remix album "Love" came out in time for Christmas and opinion is divided. Some say it's an exciting new interpretation of the old faves. Others say that, particularly with the 24 bit version, that the remixes bring out more of the flavour, clarity and excitement of those heady sesisons.
Opinion is divided even amongst me! On the whole I say it's a brilliant addition to the collection, particularly where the I Am The Walrus or Strawberry Fields re-works are concerned. George Harrison's 'last wish' was certainly a good one. However, I'd've liked to have seen the effort go into a more general remix of entire Beatles albums, a-la Let It Be Naked, and have just a few of the better Love re-workings done.
