What's the best way of getting 12+ mic inputs?

I sometimes record whole bands and to do this properly would need at least 12 mics recording simultaneously into a DAW. Most bigger interfaces out there have at best 8 built in pre's, are there any with 12 or 16?

I am thinking about getting two M-Audio Profire 2626's, and ADAT'ing one into the other. What would be really nice if I had one unit with all the pre's I need. Does such a thing exist?

Daisy chain 2 FP10s together. That will give you 16 channels to work with. In all you can get it with cables for about 750 new with warranty. Not great? Well think about it like this. If you have one interface with all your pres or two with more than half your pres each, than if one combusts into flames, you are okay. Thank god for logic. Go with the FP10s.
