There are so many great guitar amps with so many sweet sounds, but when I'm playing any decent sized gig, there's no feeling like knowing there's a Marshall Plexi behind me. Clean, crunch, fire breathing high gain. Marshall Plexi. Total confidence.
I recently picked the tele up again and needed a amp for a backyard party. Bought a Marshall AVT50H with a slant cab. Was very impressed, been researching Mojave amps.
Well thinking back, I had a peavey amp with a peavey T 60. And as someone mentioned it jogged my memory, that thing did get hotter than hell ! Ive played and tried most all mentioned. Presently have a Carvin SX 200 weighs a ton. And a Marshall half stack. Looking at Mojave havent played through one yet, any feedback would be appreciated.
I use a mesa triple rectifier w/mesa 4x12 vin 30's but I play mostly heavy stuff. I also have an old marshall jcm 800 2210 that I push through 2-greenbacks when I want a classic metal tone. The best of both worlds for what I do.
For Bass its almost always Trace Elliot, I do like my older SWR and the old standby Hartke HA series stuff but my main bass amp is Trace Elliot GP7 head for most gigs and for bigger stuff I use the SMX 600 thru a pair of Hartke VX8x10s
Guitar most days is a Plexi ,.... once in awhile I'll break out the Huges&Kettner
