What would i need to have analogue control of digital parameters?

Just wondered what i could use to control levels etc in an analogue way, whether it hook up via ADAT or USB or whatever, any suggestions would help!

though not really analog any of the so called controllers depending on what prog you may have... like the mackie controller or ths controll knob etc... perhaps you need to be alittle more specific as to what you want it to do...
