I'm interested in getting an AKG d19, but being affiliated with the Beatles, they are overpriced usually. does anyone know of another mic with similar specs?
also, other drum overhead options for a more unusual sound? just something different from the usual two condenser thing.

thanks

Don't know if you're still interested, but I just saw this. What do you plan to use the D19 for? I use mine on vocals all the time. They are great on drums, too. Not sure I know of anything with similar specs, but I find they have a scooped, hifi sound for a dynamic with a smoother, brighter high end, compared, say, to the very thick sound of an SM57.
